YOUR TREATMENT JOURNEY

What to Expect

From your initial suitability assessment through to aftercare, your vitamin injection appointment is designed to be quick, straightforward and nurse-led, with the treatment selected according to your individual circumstances.

01

BEFORE

Consultation & Suitability

Susanna will discuss your health history, any relevant symptoms or concerns and the reason you are considering a vitamin injection.

Your suitability will be assessed before treatment, and where symptoms may require further investigation, appropriate medical assessment or blood testing may be recommended.

02

DURING

Your Injection

Your selected vitamin injection will be administered by Susanna following your assessment, using a simple nurse-led approach focused on safety and comfort.

Appointments typically take around 15 minutes, making this one of the quickest treatments available at Key Aesthetics.

03

AFTER

After Your Appointment

You can usually return to normal day-to-day activities straight afterwards. Mild temporary tenderness, redness or discomfort around the injection site can sometimes occur.

Any response to vitamin replacement will vary between individuals and will depend on factors such as your vitamin status, overall health and the reason treatment was recommended.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything You Need to Know

FAQ
Which vitamin injection is right for me?

This depends on your individual circumstances, health history and the reason you are considering treatment. Susanna will discuss your concerns and assess suitability before recommending the most appropriate option.

What are common signs of Vitamin B12 deficiency?

Possible signs can include tiredness, weakness, pins and needles, changes in concentration or memory, a sore or red tongue and, in some cases, balance or coordination changes. These symptoms can have many other causes, so experiencing them does not automatically mean that you have a Vitamin B12 deficiency.

What are Vitamin B12 injections used for?

Vitamin B12 is important for normal red blood cell formation, nervous system function and energy metabolism. Injections may be used as a form of Vitamin B12 replacement where they are clinically appropriate for the individual.

What does Vitamin B & C support?

B vitamins and Vitamin C perform a number of important functions within the body. Vitamin C contributes to normal tissue health and wound healing, while B vitamins have individual roles in normal body function and energy metabolism. The specific preparation and its suitability will be discussed before treatment.

Will a vitamin injection give me more energy?

Some symptoms such as tiredness can occur when certain vitamin deficiencies are present, but fatigue has many possible causes. A vitamin injection should not be viewed as a guaranteed energy boost, and unexplained or persistent tiredness may require further medical assessment.

How quickly will I notice a difference?

Response varies between individuals and depends on factors such as your vitamin status, overall health and why treatment has been recommended. Some people may notice changes sooner than others, while some may notice little immediate difference.

Are there any side effects or downtime?

Most appointments are quick and you can usually return to normal activities afterwards. Temporary tenderness, redness or mild discomfort around the injection site can occur. Susanna will explain relevant risks and aftercare before treatment.

Do I need blood tests before having a vitamin injection?

Not every situation is the same. If a vitamin deficiency is suspected, symptoms are unexplained or there is a medical reason to investigate further, appropriate assessment or blood testing may be recommended before treatment.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Susanna will discuss your health history, why you are considering treatment and any relevant symptoms or concerns before confirming whether a vitamin injection is appropriate for you.
